Consolidation and expansion works on the Premià de Mar port infrastructure, for Marina Port Premià ]
Adaptation of the port infrastructures and surroundings respecting the Plan of Use of the Port of Premià. Specifically, the port’s capacity was increased to 566 berths through the construction of 7 new jetties for boats between 6 and 30 metres in length.
The works included the construction of the pier around the perimeter of the dock, as well as the dredging of the dock. In addition, land was reclaimed from the sea for the location of the new fishermen’s wharf, a marine animal recovery centre, and an educational centre. Also noteworthy is a technical area fitted out for the vessels, with more than 8,000 m2 of usable space, with space reserved for the construction of boat workshops.
The works also include fitting out a commercial area parallel to the pier (of approximately 3,000 m2) with the corresponding service networks, as well as the construction of new access roads, an above-ground car park (with 350 spaces) and a new Port Captain’s building.
